Introduction

Abstract

It was nearly twenty years ago that I began writing about disability issues and since then I have published widely in books, academic journals, magazines, newspapers and disability journals. The original idea for this book was that, because much of this writing was in books or journals not easily available, a collection of my papers put into one place would be useful.
