Abstract
In Chapter 3 we discussed the conditional utility of the elements of the behavioral assessment paradigm: Behavioral assessment is a functional approach to assessment in that the utility of each element of the paradigm varies across assessment occasions. Utility is affected by many aspects of an assessment occasion, but it is particularly affected by the goals of the assessment.
