Buikspieren en de (slappe) houding

Samenvatting

De opvatting dat sterke buikspieren nodig zijn voor een goede houding is wijd verbreid, evenals de opvatting dat slappe buikspieren dan ook leiden tot een zogenaamde slappe houding. In dit artikel proberen we duidelijk te maken dat dit in werkelijkheid precies andersom is. Om in een slappe houding te kunnen staan, moeten buikspieren actief zijn en voor een goede houding zijn juist rugspieren nodig. Het oefenen van de buikspieren om een betere houding te verkrijgen, is dan ook een zinloze aangelegenheid.

Correlatie
