Samenvatting

Bij sommige mensen ontaardt de bezorgdheid over het uiterlijk in een obsessie en spreken we van body dysmorphic disorder. Deze bijdrage verkent de vraag waarom patiënten met deze stoornis in Nederland relatief weinig in behandeling komen.
