Engaged and community based Society has changed and is still changing. Parents and children want to be in control of the upbringing, help and support. This is one of the developments, that make it necessary for us to refocus on the public care for youth. In a number of meetings with many people with a different background we talked about new principles and a new form of public care for youth. It has led to the observation that the society as a whole is responsible for that care and that the primary care in which the social medicine, social nursing, the developmental psychology/orthopedagogy and social work are represented, can play an important role.
