Samenvatting

‘Informatie gaat het ene oor in, het andere oor uit. Is na twee instructies de eerste alweer vergeten. Kan maar moeilijk beginnen met het werk. Eenmaal begonnen, haakt hij/zij vaak halverwege af. Vraagt vaak: “Wat moest ik ook alweer doen?”’
Deze beschrijvingen worden door ouders of leerkrachten vaak gebruikt wanneer kinderen moeite hebben op school. Ze kunnen wijzen op een probleem met de executieve functies (EF); een onderwerp dat wij hier verder uitdiepen.
