Samenvatting

  • Er is sterk bewijs dat het verstrekken van informatie over de aandoening in combinatie met een oefenprogramma een positief effect heeft op de klachten van de zwangeren met ernstige bekkengordelpijn.
  • Tweederde van de zwangeren met bekkengordelpijn herstelt spontaan binnen een maand na de bevalling.
  • Er is beperkt bewijs dat patiënten met persisterende bekkengordelpijn na een bevalling sneller herstellen met een oefenprogramma onder supervisie dan met een passieve interventie.
  • Van de zwangere vrouwen met bekkenklachten ontwikkelt iets meer dan de helft opnieuw klachten bij een volgende zwangerschap.
