10. Behandeling van andere dissociatieve stoornissen

Samenvatting

Dissociatieve symptomen komen bij veel psychiatrische stoornissen voor. Naast de behandeling van de primaire stoornis, is het aan te bevelen om aandacht te besteden aan dissociatie en slaapproblemen die hierop van invloed kunnen zijn. De depersonalisatie-/derealisatiestoornis is vast te stellen als aparte stoornis. Deze stoornis wordt als angststoornis opgevat. Deze kan behandeld worden volgens een cognitief-gedragstherapeutisch protocol. De behandeling van de dissociatieve identiteitsstoornis kenmerkt zich door een gefaseerde behandeling waarin integratie van de verschillende delen wordt beoogd, dan wel een behandeling gericht op trauma en persoonlijkheid, zoals schematherapie.
