Samenvatting

Met driedimensionale afbeeldingsmodaliteiten zoals CT, MRI, PET en SPECT worden verschillende aspecten van het menselijk lichaam afgebeeld. Deze technieken hebben elk hun sterke, maar ook hun minder sterke kanten. CT en MRI kunnen bijvoorbeeld de anatomie zeer gedetailleerd en met hoge resolutie tonen, maar niet altijd weefsels met verschillende eigenschappen van elkaar onderscheiden.
