2. Antisociaal gedrag bij psychische stoornissen; diagnostiek, betekenis en risico

Samenvatting

Antisociaal gedrag kan voorkomen bij verschillende psychische stoornissen, maar ook bij mensen die niet voldoen aan de criteria van een psychische stoornis. Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft verschillende psychische stoornissen waarbij antisociaal gedrag kan voorkomen en gaat in op de verschillende intenties en dynamieken die tot het antisociale gedrag leiden. De stoornis waarvan het belangrijkste kenmerk het antisociale gedrag is, is de antisociale persoonlijkheidsstoornis (ASPS). We gaan in op het verschil met psychopathie en de verschillende uitingsvormen bij mannen en vrouwen. Het diagnosticeren van de antisociale persoonlijkheidsstoornis vraagt om een aantal specifieke aandachtspunten. Mensen krijgen soms ten onrechte deze diagnose, of juist niet wanneer het wel van toepassing zou zijn. We bespreken hier de valkuilen die daartoe leiden. Tenslotte komen enkele risico-instrumenten aan de orde die in de reguliere GGZ worden gebruikt bij de inschatting van risico op antisociaal gedrag.
