In alle anatomieboeken wordt de bouw van het bekken beschreven. Ik zal dat hier niet uitvoerig herhalen. Ik wil in dit hoofdstuk wel enkele aspecten van de bouw van het bekken accentueren, vooral de aspecten die nodig zijn om de volgende hoofdstukken goed te begrijpen.
