ADHD bij volwassenen: voer voor psychotherapeuten?

Samenvatting

In toenemende mate worden psychotherapeuten betrokken bij de behandeling van volwassenen met ADHD. De persisterende stoornis in de executieve functies leidt bij deze patiënten tot een gevarieerd klinisch beeld. ADHD is een klinische diagnose, die ook door psychotherapeuten moet kunnen worden onderkend. De behandeling bestaat in de eerste plaats uit psycho-educatie, medicatie en coaching (in de vorm van een structurerende vaardigheidstraining).
