ADHD bij volwassenen: ontwikkelingen in Nederland en Europa

Samenvatting

ADHD bij volwassenen is inmiddels een erkende psychiatrische diagnose in Nederland en Europa. Onlangs is de ‘Richtlijn ADHD bij volwassenen, deel I, Diagnostiek en Medicamenteuze behandeling’ uitgebracht door de Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychiatrie. ADHD gaat gepaard met veel comorbiditeit, en is vanwege de chroniciteit een complexe stoornis, die in de specialistische GGZ behandeld dient te worden.

In dit artikel komen aan de orde: het Diagnostisch Interview voor ADHD (DIVA 2.0) bij volwassenen, de belangrijkste wijzigingen in de criteria voor ADHD in de DSM-5, de medicatie volgens de richtlijn, patiëntenzorg in Nederland en Europa, nascholing en opleiding, ADHDFund voor online crowdfunding van onderzoek naar ADHD, en een update over de behandeling van de verlate slaapfase bij ADHD.
