Causalgie betekent letterlijk: brandende pijn.

IASP = The International Association for the Study of Pain.

Acute, door een streptokok veroorzaakte infectieziekte van lederhuid en onderhuids bindweefsel. Hierbij is sprake van koorts en een rode pijnlijke huidzwelling.

DMSO = dimethylsulfoxide. Het is een antioxidant (zuurstofradicaalremmer) die gemakkelijk wordt opgenomen door de huid.
