Samenvatting

Dit hoofdstuk geeft een overzicht van psychiatrische problemen en onderwerpen die relevant zijn voor de acute setting. Denk bijvoorbeeld aan de agressieve of verwarde patiënt. Er wordt aandacht besteed aan het zeldzame, maar indrukwekkende excited delirium syndrome. Verder is er uitgebreid aandacht voor somatisch onvoldoende verklaarde lichamelijke klachten (SOLK), suïcidaliteit en wilsbekwaamheid.
