Samenvatting

Een 36-jarige vrouw wordt op haar bromfiets aangereden door een vrachtwagen, waardoor zij een ernstig trauma capitis oploopt. Bij aankomst op de spoedeisende hulp (seh) wordt een Glasgow Coma Scale (gcs) van 3/15 vastgesteld en de ct-hersenen toont een bilateraal subduraal hematoom, subarachnoïdaal bloed en een contusiehaard pariëtaal rechts met bovendien een schedelfractuur. De patiënte wordt opgenomen op de afdeling intensive care (ic) voor neurologische monitoring.
