Samenvatting

Knieartrose (gonartrose, in de Engelse literatuur osteoarthritis of the knee) is de meest voorkomende vorm van artrose. Kenmerkend voor de artrose is de afname van de hyaliene kraakbeenlaag, met als gevolg dat uiteindelijk bot-op-botcontact ontstaat.
