Samenvatting

In een eerstelijnspraktijk krijg je geregeld te maken met patiënten met nek- en/of schouderklachten.[1] Uit de gegevens uit 2008 van de Landelijke informatievoorziening Paramedische Zorg (LiPZ) blijkt dat 17% van de fysiotherapiepatiënten kampt met nek- en/of schouderklachten. De aard van de gezondheidsproblematiek kan zeer uiteenlopend zijn.[2] In sommige gevallen zijn de klachten acuut, in andere gevallen bestaan ze al langer. Ook verschilt de mate waarin de klachten het dagelijks functioneren van de patiënt beïnvloeden, aanzienlijk.[3-5]
