Samenvatting

De thoraxholte wordt anatomisch begrensd door de thoracale wervelkolom, de ribben en het borstbeen. Aan de bovenzijde gaat de thoraxholte over in de hals, aan de onderzijde wordt deze afgesloten door het middenrif (diafragma).
