Samenvatting

Een ‘community-acquired’ infectie is gedefinieerd als het optreden van een infectie buiten het ziekenhuis of binnen twee dagen na opname, behalve voor patiënten die in de voorafgaande 30-90 dagen opgenomen zijn geweest in een ziekenhuis of verpleeghuis, hemodialyse hebben ondergaan of voor langere tijd een intravasculaire katheter hebben.
