4 Gingivitis

Samenvatting

Klinisch gezien, wordt een gezonde gingiva gekenmerkt door een lichtroze kleur, een stevige consistentie met een gestippeld aspect, scherpe papillen die de gehele approximale ruimte vullen, ondiepe pockets (1-3 mm), geen bloeding na sonderen, afwezigheid van zwelling en een marginale gingivarand die zich coronaal van de glazuur-cementgrens bevindt (figuur 4.1). De supergezonde gingiva is ook histologisch gezien ontstekingsvrij.
