Samenvatting

De sport is de afgelopen eeuw uitgegroeid tot een mondiaal fenomeen, met uiteenlopende dimensies, verschijningsvormen en betekenissen. Hiermede is de discussie over de sociale betekenis van sport actueler geworden dan ooit.
