Samenvatting

Ongeveer de helft van de wereldbevolking heeft wel eens hoofdpijn. De twee bekendste en meest voorkomende vormen van hoofdpijn zijn migraine en spanningshoofdpijn. Er bestaan echter nog meer dan honderd andere vormen van hoofdpijn; zelden is de exacte oorzaak ervan bekend.

Spanningshoofdpijn wordt door fysieke activiteit in veel gevallen juist minder (zoals tijdens sporten, in de tuin werken en dergelijke).
