31 Multidisciplinaire teamtraining van professionals in een medisch simulatiecentrum

Samenvatting

Veel vermijdbare sterfgevallen in ziekenhuizen ontstaan doordat het zorgteam niet of onvoldoende op elkaar is ingespeeld. Training in spoedeisende situaties wordt doorgaans op individuele basis gevolgd. In de praktijk wordt een patiënt in een ziekenhuissituatie echter door een team behandeld dat samengesteld is uit verschillende disciplines. Ter voorkoming van communicatiefouten is het belangrijk om de training niet op het individu alleen te richten, maar op het team als geheel. Teamtraining blijkt in belangrijke mate te kunnen bijdragen aan het voorkomen van deze fouten.^1,2
