Samevatting

Het merendeel van de kleine chirurgische verrichtingen geschiedt onder plaatselijke verdoving, maar ook het reponeren van sommige botbreuken kan zo plaatsvinden. Goede lokale anesthesie is van essentieel belang: een onvolledige verdoving betekent voor de patiënt een marteling en voor de arts onrustig opereren, resulterend in een gefrustreerde dokter en een ontevreden patiënt.
