Samenvatting

» Kinderen en jongeren met cerebrale parese (CP) ondervinden veelal problemen in het grofmotorisch functioneren. De Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM) en Gross Motor Function Classification System (GMFCS) zijn belangrijke meetinstrumenten om het grofmotorisch functioneren bij deze kinderen en jongeren in kaart te brengen. Sinds de totstandkoming van de eerste versies van de GMFM en de GMFCS zijn er rondom deze instrumenten veel ontwikkelingen geweest. In dit hoofdstuk worden deze ontwikkelingen besproken en wordt ingegaan op de vraag wanneer welk instrument gebruikt kan worden.
