Samenvatting

In de hoofdstukken hierna wordt steeds beschreven hoe een bepaalde ziekte of aandoening te voorkómen is. In dit hoofdstuk wordt de omgekeerde weg gevolgd en worden enkele voorbeelden gegeven van hoe een risicofactor, meestal een leefwijze, de kans op verschillende aandoeningen verandert. Wat preventie is voor de ene ziekte, kan een andere juist bevorderen.
