Samenvatting

Meralgia paraesthetica (Grieks meros = bovenbeen, algos = pijn) oftewel het syndroom van Bernhardt-Roth, is een compressiemononeuropathie van een volledige sensorische zenuw, de n. cutaneus femoris lateralis.1 Deze zenuw verzorgt de huid van het anterolaterale bovenbeen. De oorzaak van de pijn is bijna altijd entrapment van deze zenuw.
