Samenvatting

Nagelbijten of onychofagie is veelvoorkomend repeterend, zelfmutilerend gedrag, waarbij de nagels worden afgebeten.1 Nagelbijten is hinderlijk, onaantrekkelijk, sociaal onwenselijk en kan predisponeren tot het ontstaan van paronychia.
