17 Microbiologie van parodontale infecties

Samenvatting

De geschiedenis van de orale microbiologie begint bij Antoni van Leeuwenhoek in 1683. Hij beschreef met behulp van een eenvoudige microscoop bacteriën in tandplaque. Tevens legde hij het verband tussen het aantal bacteriën en geringe mondverzorging.
