Samenvatting

Een ganglion is een cysteuze zwelling in een gewrichtskapsel of peesschede, als gevolg van degeneratie van het gewrichtskapsel of de peesschede.1 De zwelling is rond, vast-elastisch, varieert in grootte van enkele millimeters tot enkele centimeters, en ligt los van de huid. In een enkel geval wordt de zwelling pas zichtbaar bij strekken of buigen van de pols.
