16 Motoriek en visuele stoornissen

Samenvatting

Vanaf de geboorte verandert het motorisch gedrag voortdurend. De motorische ontwikkeling en het motorisch leren komen tot stand door de interactie van het kind met de omgeving. Indien er in de mogelijkheid tot interactie sprake is van een beperking, zoals bij het kind met een gestoorde visus, ligt het voor de hand dat dit zal leiden tot een veranderde sensomotorische ontwikkeling en het motorisch leren zal anders verlopen. In dit hoofdstuk wordt achtereenvolgens ingegaan op de normale visus, visuele stoornissen, de implicaties voor de motorische ontwikkeling van het kind en de kinderfysiotherapeutische interventie.
