Samenvatting

Chirurgische ingrepen gaan altijd, in meer of mindere mate, gepaard met enige zwelling, pijn, koorts en functiebeperkingen. Die zijn het gevolg van een normale weefselreactie die tot doel heeft de homeostase te handhaven en tevens de aanzet is voor de wondgenezing.
