Samenvatting

Als we spreken over kinderen met centraal-neurologische aandoeningen (CNA) is er sprake van een beschadiging van het centrale zenuwstelsel. Dit kan een cerebrale parese (CP) zijn die pre-, peri- of postnataal ontstaan is, of een later verworven hersenletsel zoals een contusio cerebri. Dit kan leiden tot diverse secundaire problemen op het gebied van vegetatieve functies, motoriek, sensoriek, communicatie, cognitie en emotie.

Een Talo-ring-orthese is een orthese die met name het onderste spronggewricht fixeert (en daarmee varus of valgus corrigeert), terwijl het bovenste spronggewricht

Een floor-reaction-orthese is een orthese waarbij met name de dorsaalflexie van de enkel tegengehouden wordt. Hierdoor wordt via de floor-reactionkracht onder andere een betere kniestrekking gestimuleerd.
