Foetor ex ore, ook halitosis of ozostomie genoemd, is de medische aanduiding voor ‘stank uit de mond’ oftewel ‘slechte adem’.¹ Van halitofobie spreekt men wanneer de patiënt (bij herhaling) een slechte adem meent te hebben, terwijl deze niet door de arts wordt waargenomen.
