11 Disseminatie van innovaties

Samenvatting

  • Effectieve verspreiding van innovaties, richtlijnen en nieuwe werkwijzen is een noodzakelijke, maar onvoldoende voorwaarde voor daadwerkelijke toepassing in de praktijk.
  • Doel van verspreiding is de doelgroep op de hoogte brengen van en te informeren over het bestaan van de innovatie en het gewenste handelen, en deze te stimuleren om de innovatie te gebruiken voor educatie, lokale afspraken, toetsing van de feitelijke zorg of verbetering van de kwaliteit van zorg.
  • Onderscheid kan worden gemaakt tussen enerzijds massamediale en anderzijds persoonlijke methoden van disseminatie. Waarschijnlijk is een combinatie van beide methoden het meest effectief, vooral als de doelgroep bij herhaling via meerdere kanalen op de hoogte wordt gebracht.
  • Moderne sociale media spelen een steeds grotere rol bij het verspreiden van innovaties, maar over de effectiviteit is nog weinig bekend.
