Samenvatting

Zoals aangegeven in het Beroepscompetentieprofiel Kinderfysiotherapeut is de kinderfysiotherapie een specialisme binnen de fysiotherapie, dat zich richt op kinderen, jeugdigen en adolescenten die problemen ervaren bij het bewegen.1 De kinderfysiotherapeut onderzoekt en geeft indien nodig sturing aan het motorisch functioneren van kinderen. Hierbij wordt rekening gehouden met de naaste omgeving, de ouders worden intensief betrokken bij de behandeling (zie ook hoofdstuk 4).2,3
