1 Klachten in het hoofd-halsgebied: hoe kies ik het optimale meetinstrument?

Samenvatting

» Klachten in het hoofd-halsgebied hebben in veel gevallen een multidimensionaal karakter waarbij meten op meerdere domeinen noodzakelijk is. Dit hoofdstuk beschrijft de keuze van een aantal meetinstrumenten om de problematiek bij hoofd-halsklachten mee in kaart te brengen. Vier veelvoorkomende klachten in het hoofd-halsgebied passeren de revue, met de meetinstrumenten die bij elk van deze klachten kunnen worden ingezet. Daarbij wordt aangegeven dat het meten geen doel op zich moet zijn, maar een duidelijke plaats moet hebben binnen het fysiotherapeutisch methodisch handelen en een belangrijke ondersteuning kan/moet bieden in het proces van klinisch redeneren.
