Abstract

Men kan zich geen deskundige noemen op het gebied van de geriatrische fysiotherapie als men geen kennis heeft van wetenschappelijk onderzoek dat op dit gebied verricht wordt. Onderzoek is nodig om de fysiotherapeutische zorg op een hoog peil te brengen. De huidige behandelmethoden en technieken moeten worden geëvalueerd en nieuwe manieren van efficiënter zorgverlening dienen te worden ontwikkeld voor de toekomst.
