Verschillen de verschillen?

Exploratief onderzoek naar de werkalliantie van een ervaren en een minder ervaren psychotherapeut

Samenvatting

Het aangaan van een goede werkalliantie is een basisvaardigheid voor elke behandelaar en wordt vaak geassocieerd met een succesvoller en effectiever behandelverloop. Het gaat dan mogelijk niet alleen om de beoordeling van de werkalliantie door de patiënt, maar ook om de mate waarin de beoordeling overeenkomt met die van de behandelaar. In dit onderzoek wordt met de Werk Alliantie Vragenlijst gekeken naar de verschillen hierin tussen een ervaren en een minder ervaren behandelaar. Patiënten van de ervaren behandelaar oordeelden even positief over de werkalliantie, als patiënten van de minder ervaren behandelaar. De beoordeling van de werkalliantie door de minder ervaren behandelaar kwam meer overeen met die van de patiënten, dan die van de ervaren behandelaar. De ervaren behandelaar oordeelde kritischer over de werkalliantie dan haar patiënten. In het artikel wordt ingegaan op mogelijke verklaringen hiervoor en wordt het belang van vervolgonderzoek naar specifieke therapeutfactoren en hun invloed op de werkalliantie benadrukt.
