Periprosthetische fractuur niet altijd zichtbaar op conventionele röntgenopname

Samenvatting

wij presenteren een casus van een niet-traumatische periprosthetische spiraalfractuur van het rechterfemur bij een 83-jarige patiënte metbeiderzijds een totale heuppro-these (THP). De fractuur was niet te zien bij radiologisch onderzoek, maar wel op de botscan. De patiënte werd suc-cesvol conservatief behandeld. De controleröntgenfoto’s lieten bij herhaling geen verse afwijkingen zien. Een con-trolebotscan na zeven maanden was negatief.
