Kernpunten

Kenmerkend voor ‘overslaan’ is dat de klachten in rust optreden en verdwijnen bij inspanning.
Geïsoleerde extrasystolen hebben geen prognostische betekenis bij een verder gezonde patiënt.
Cafeïne, nicotine, alcohol, cocaïne en bèta-2-sympathicomimetica kunnen extrasystolie induceren.
Geruststelling is het belangrijkste advies; een bètablokker is soms effectief.
