Samenvatting

Psychotische stoornissen blijken niet altijd zo degeneratief als lange tijd werd gedacht: de prognose verschilt enorm tussen patiënten. Eén van de factoren die hierbij een rol speelt, is de onbehandelde psychoseduur. Een kortere onbehandelde psychoseduur lijkt een positief effect te hebben op de prognose. In dit artikel ga ik hier nader op in en geef ik adviezen op welke wijze de onbehandelde psychoseduur bekort kan worden.
