Huidafwijkingen bij endocrinologische aandoeningen

Samenvatting

Sommige huidafwijkingen kunnen de huisarts op het spoor zetten van een onderliggende endocrinologische afwijking bij de patiënt, of duiden erop dat een endocrinopathie niet adequaat behandeld wordt. Enkele cutane manifestaties van endocrinopathieën zijn potentieel levensbedreigend, zodat de diagnose in een vroeg stadium moet worden gesteld.

In dit artikel ligt de nadruk op de cutane manifestaties van diabetes mellitus. Ook de – vaak karakteristieke – huidaandoeningen die kunnen voorkomen in het kader van het syndroom van Cushing en de ziekte van Addison worden kort besproken
