Kernpunten

COPD is een niet-curabele chronische longziekte.
De beperkingen die een COPD-patiënt ervaart, zijn slecht uit te drukken in maat en getal.
De ziekte COPD gedraagt zich grillig, het ziektebeloop en het overlijden zijn slecht te voorspellen.
Door het tijdig signaleren van achteruitgang en afname van de kwaliteit van leven kan geanticipeerd worden op goede palliatieve zorg in de laatste levensfase.
