Inleiding

Bij het vervaardigen van conventionele volledige gebitsprothesen hanteren de meeste handboeken en onderwijsprogramma’s een protocol bestaande uit meerdere klinische stappen: anamnese, klinisch onderzoek, voorbereidende interventies, afdrukprocedure in twee fasen, relatiebepaling al dan niet met aangezichts- en gotische boog, passen in verband met esthetiek, plaatsing en nazorg (Kalk et al., 2001).
