Samenvatting

De normale aortaklep bestaat uit drie even grote, vliesdunne klepslippen (in het Engels ‘cusps’), namelijk de rechter coronary cusp (RCC), de linker coronary cusp (LCC) en de non-coronary cusp (NCC). De beste plaats om de aortaklep echografisch te beoordelen is meestal de derde of vierde intercostale ruimte links-parasternaal.
